SUDAN MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE (SUMASRI)

The mission of SUMASRI is to support the research activities of the faculty and students of UMST and the greater Sudanese biomedical community. SUMASRI aims to be a catalyst for biomedical research within Sudan and will actively seek and welcome links with organizations both in Sudan and further afield.

Goals of SUMASRI:

To develop biomedical research skills amongst UMST students and faculty

To provide the physical, financial and intellectual infrastructure to support lab and field-based research

To coordinate research activities within UMST focusing on research directed toward solving Sudan’s health problems.
