The Faculty of Nursing Sciences started in 1999 as an integral part of the
University of Medical Sciences and Technology. It was the fourth faculty to be
established. As of May 2007, the faculty has graduated 252 female and male
nurses with BSc. and MSc. Nursing Degrees. These graduates who have been
directed to become proficient in self –study and have been prepared for their
important practical nursing care role in health institutions, and in the
community, are now functioning effectively and efficiently in most of the states
of the Sudan.
