Preparations are going on for the opening of Al Zaytona Specialised Hospital as a comprehensive hospital with full medical services available 24 hours a day, with Sudanese medical expertise in the form of doctors who have gained high qualifications from GB, Ireland, Saudi Arabia and the USA. The hospital aims to provide a developed, qualified medical service and they are aiming to provide high quality emergency services and diagnostic services from a lab full of modern equipment. The radiology department is well-equipped with an MRI and a CT (64) scanner – the first one in Sudan. The philosophy behind building this hospital is based on a comprehensive medical service, a distinguished and punctual medical team, working to provide the best medical and nursing services under international control and standards. The medical team in the hospital are connected strongly with the medical faculty of the UMST which guarantees provision of medical services from the best and the most outstanding consultants.
