In addition to provision of higher education, UMST seeks to provide the local community with a wide variety of medical services in different institutions. These institutions also provide the opportunity for students to gain experience and training in their chosen field.

This is the third clinic of its type in Sudan specialised in OBGYN and neonatal care. It provides highly qualified consultants and qualified and advanced outpatient clinics. The clinic is equipped with modern ultrasound scan equipment, and can provide 3D and 4D scanning. The clinic delivers a comprehensive service in the field of fertility, a brand new, modern delivery room and a special unit for care of premature babies as well as 24 hour emergency services.

Offering all the different medical specialities, this is the only hospital in Sudan offering free services including surgical operations – elective and emergency, obstetric and gynaecological operations and investigations, as well as ultrasounds and x-rays for outpatients and inpatients. It is one of six hospitals in Khartoum state recognised by the Sudan Board for Medical Specialisation for the training of registrars. It provides services in 14 different medical specialties including anaesthesia, laboratories, x-rays, urology, ophthalmology, dentistry, psychiatry, orthopaedics, ENT and dermatology.

General hospital providing 24 hour first aid and emergency service. This hospital provides free treatment for emergencies and children, in addition to providing financial assistance and support to those who are unable to afford essential surgery. This hospital is run n cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Khartoum State. The hospital is recognised as a training hospital for registrars by the Sudan Board for Medical Specialisation. This year the hospital will celebrate the inauguration of an ICU and CCU, and preparations are currently ongoing for the opening of a National Renal Centre and a Regional Dialysis Unit.

Preparations are going on for the opening of Al Zaytona Specialised Hospital as a comprehensive hospital with full medical services available 24 hours a day, with Sudanese medical expertise in the form of doctors who have gained high qualifications from GB, Ireland, Saudi Arabia and the USA. The hospital aims to provide a developed, qualified medical service and they are aiming to provide high quality emergency services and diagnostic services from a lab full of modern equipment. The radiology department is well-equipped with an MRI and a CT (64) scanner – the first one in Sudan. The philosophy behind building this hospital is based on a comprehensive medical service, a distinguished and punctual medical team, working to provide the best medical and nursing services under international control and standards.
